Lakehead has the Wright stuff in win over Brock

Lakehead put an end to their 5 game skid with a convincing 4-1 win over the Brock Badgers.

Lakehead's Max Wright put on a clinc in net making some big saves along the way to turning aside 34 of 35 shots in the contest.

The Wolves came out of the gate flying n the first and did not waste anytime getting on the board as Olivier Pouliot converted a pass from Joe Mack past Brock's Mario Peccia to the delight of the 2304 in attendance.

Joe Mack would get the fans back on their feet 5:30 later on the power play when he snapped a pass from Josh Van Unen from behind the net past Peccia to up the Wolves lead by two.

Quickly nto the second Griffen Fox was sprung by Troy Williams and put a laser beam of a shot right through the 5 hole of Peccia to put the Wolves up by three. Both teams would see lots of scoring chances and the Wolves would hit the post and crossbar on two of their chances.

Keighan Gerrie would light the lamp in the 3rd period blasting a Josh Van Unen pass glove side of the Brock netminder.to send the fans into a frenzy and seal the win for the Wolves.

Brock's Cole Tymkin spoiled Wright's shutout bid with 13.5 seconds remaing in the game.

Lakehead heads on the road to Toronto next weekend to play TMU on Friday Nov 18 and Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday Nov 19.
