Lakehead wins 4th in a row with 4-3 over TMU
The Lakehead Thunderwolves picked up a 4-3 win over the TMU Bold which is their 4th in a row and 7th win in the last 8 games.
The Wolves struck first in the opening peroiod when Josh Lehto scored his first regular season goal as a Thunderwolve for the 1-0 lead.
The Bold would answer back on the powerplay as William Portokalis would wrist a shot past Christian Cicigoi to tie the game at 1-1.
The Wolves would go up 3-1 with goals from Malte Hasselgren with his 3rd of the season and Keighan Gerrie with his 3rd of the season.
The game would remain 3-1 heading into the 3rd when Liam Whittaker would pick up his 2nd of the season to give the Wolves a 4-1 lead .
TMU’s Spencer Shugrue and William Portokalis with his second of the game to make it 4-3 but the Wolves would hang on for the win and sitting 1 pt behind Laurer for top spot in the OUA Western Conference.
