The two teams last met in November of 2009, when Lakehead split its weekend series at RMC, losing 5-4 in overtime on the Friday before rebounding with a 6-0 win on the Saturday.

The last time RMC played at the Fort William Gardens was in January of 2008, when the Wolves swept the Paladins by scores of 8-3 and 8-2.
