Lakehead hosts Western and to Honor Seniors on Saturday

Lakehead is set to host long time rivals the Western Mustangs on Saturday night which also is Seniors night.

Lakehead will honor 3 seniors on Saturday night. Kyle Auger, Troy Williams and Geoff Dempster.

Lakehead will face the Western Mustangs for the 65th time in regular season play and are 22-40-2 all time.

Western holds the edge offensively all time out scoring the Wolves 239-163.

Western is coming in winners of 4 out of the last 5 games. there last game saw them drop a 5-2 decision to the Brock Badgers.

Lakehead comes into the game looking to bounce back from a 5-2 loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks.

Western currently sits in 9th place in the conference 4 points out of the last playoff spot held by the York Lions.

Lakehead currently sits tied for 1st with Windsor with 31pts.

Lakehead will host Windsor on Thursday February 9th at 7pm in the make up game from November 25 that was not played due to Windsor unable to make it up to Thunder bay because of fog.
