Lakehead is looking to solidify their playoff standing in the Regular season finale against the Nipissing Lakers.

The Wolves currently sit in 4th place in the Western Conference although they are tied points wise with Laurier and Windsor with 28pts.

Should Lakehead win Friday night and Laurier also defeats Windsor then Lakehead would clinch 4th. If Windsor defeats Laurier on Friday and Waterloo on Saturday then Windsor would secure 4th and Lakehead would lock up 5th.

Lakehead is coming into the game having collected 9 pts in thier last 5 games riding the play of their netminder Max Wright which has played a huge part in the Wolves climb in the standings in the last month. Wright has posted a 4-0-1 record while sporting a shining 1.99 GAA and a .930 save percentage and 1 shutout in the last five games.

Nicholas DeGrazia has been on a torrid scoring pace in the last 6 games . He has notched 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in that span. Not to be out done Spencer Blackwell (3 goals and 3 assists for 7 points) and Griffon Fox (2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points) have been just as hot.

Lakehead won both of the previous meetings in November by scores of 4-3 and 4-3.

Lakehead holds the all-time lead in head to head with a 6-1-1 record. They also hold the edge in scoring 37-19.

Nipissing is coming into Friday's matchup on a 6 game losing streak. They dropped both meetings last weekend against the 1st place Brock Badgers.

Harrisson Caine leads Nipissing in scoring with 15G and 19A for 34PTS in 27GP. Close behind is Charles Farmer with 7G and 22A for 29PTS in 27GP.

In net the duties have been split by Reece Proulux (11GP 5-6-0, 2.61GAA and a .911 save percentage) and Zach Roy (15GP 5-8-0, 3.13 GAA and a .904 save percentage).

Friday night will also be Seniors night as the Wolves will be honouring their graduating players with a pre game ceremony.

Game time on Friday night will be at 7pm.
