Lakehead loses a hard fought game to Brock

Lakehead and Brock both came ready to play tonight in front of 2080 fansat the Gardens.

Lakehead and Brock would exchange goals twice in the first period starting with a short-handed goal by the Wolves after Spencer Blackwell knocked the puck away from the Brock defender at the Wolves blueline a raced down the ice and got a shot off which created a rebound that Griffen Fox pounced on and buried.

Brock would answer back 4 min later on the power play when Cole Thiessen wristed a Cole Tymkin pass past Christian Cicigoi to tie the game at one.

Lakehead would strike 3 minutes later on the powerplay when Colin Van Den Hurk would put a point shot on net which would hit a defender but Joe Mack would coral it and pass it over to Josh Van Unen who would make no mistake putting it away to put the Wolves up by one.

Brock would not wait long to knot the game up after Lakehead would give the puck away in front of there bench and Tyler Rollo buried his shot on a two on one break.

In the second Brock would control the play for most of the period and would strike at 13:22 when Cole Thiessen would get his second of the night firing a shot at a screened Cicigoi to put the Badgers up 3-2.

The third would see Lakehead get multiple chances to tie the game up but Andrew MacLean would turn them away and Brock would hold on for the win.
