The Thunderwolves lost a heartbreaker after the Badgers struck late

The Brock Badgers and Lakehead Thunderwolves played a tight defensive game in front of 1829 fans.

Both teams would trade multiple scoring opportunities early on but it would be he Badgers who would strike late in the first when Nicholas Domitrovic would beat Wolves netminder Christian Cicigoi for a 1-0 lead.

It would take the Wolves until midway through the second period to even the score when Jack Cook would rip a shot from the point that would beat Brock netminder Ben Bonisteel. 

The Wolves would pile on the shots in the third but could not beat Bonisteel. Brock would go on a powerplay late in the period and with :04 left Alexis Cournoyer would slip the puck in a give the Badgers a 2-1 win.
