Following the two-game home sweep of the Toronto Varsity Blues, the Thunderwolves hockeyteam was rewarded by moving up two spots in the CIS top ten rankings from No. 10 to No. 8. This marks the fourth media poll out of five in which the Wolves have earned a top ten placement.

Twelve games into their conference schedule, the 8-3-1 Thunderwolves find themselves in second place in the OUA West Division, one point back of the Western Ontario Mustangs. With two road games coming up at Kingston against the RMC Paladins, the Wolves will need to keep winning to maintain their momentum.

For a fifth straight time to open the season, the New Brunswick Varsity Reds lead the CIS poll with the Alberta Golden Bears in second place.
