The Thunderwolves hit the road this weekend to face the York Lions on Friday and The Concordia Stingers on Saturday.
First the Thunderwolves will play the York Lions who have moved over to the Eastern Conference and last meetings between them was in October of 2022 at home with the Wolves sweeping the series with scores of 5-2 and 3-2 OT. The also met in York in January of the same season with Lakehead winning that match up as well 5-3.
Historically the Wolves are 28-18-4 versus York. The Wolves hold the edge in scoring 187-154 in the 50 regular season meetings.
Secondly on Saturday the Wolves will look for some redemption against Concordia after losing to them 3-0 back in March of last season in the bronze medal game.
The last regular season meeting between these teams was back in the 2019-20 season at the Gardens with the Wolves sweeping the Stingers with scores of 4-3 and 5-4 (OT)
Historically the Wolves are 6-2 in the regular season vs Concordia. The Wolves hold the scoring edge 36-25 in those meetings.
Game time on Friday is 7:15 and on Saturday is 7pm.
The Thunderwolves return home on Nov 24 and 25th to play host to the UQTR Patriotes and the McGill Red Birds.
