Lakehead Athletics is very happy to announce that the new RBC Golf Classic in support of Lakehead student-athletes will have incredible prizes for all the teams taking part. Competitors will have the opportunity to win a car, truck, boat, or vehicle at every hole. In addition there will be a lot of other fantastic prizes given throughout the day; such as golf drivers, mens suits, Ipod Nanos, air tickets, and a laptop computer.
The new tournament takes place August 2nd at the Whitewater Golf Course in Thunder Bay.
Lakehead Marketing Coordinator Leigh Griggs said the first annual RBC Golf Classic is going to be a fantastic tournament. It's a very exciting time at Lakehead Athletics with the new season coming up, and although it's the first year for this tournament, it's been run by Elmer Klock and the majority of our committee for the past 10 years as the Pinewood Ford Golf Tournament. We'd like to thank Elmer and the committee for their guidance with the event organization as well. The tourney will be like an incredible outdoor auto show with the vehicles arranged around the beautiful Whitewater course, and all are available to be won with a hole-in-one. All the holes will be shortened to ensure the shot is possible, and there are also many other fantastic prizes for contests such as Closest-to-the-Hole, Top Finishing Teams, and Random Prize Giveaways. Every golfer will get a top-quality welcome package upon registration as well.
