The Thunderwolves are coming off their second weekend in a row on the road. After being blanked 2-0 at Windsor on Friday night, Lakehead responded with a 5-2 victory over the Lancers in the Saturday rematch.

Teddy Bear Toss

Friday night is the annual LU Alumni teddy bear toss, where fans can bring a new teddy bear to the game and throw it onto the ice when the Wolves score their first goal. All teddy bears collected will be donated to several local childrens charities.

Series History

Lakehead has a 13-3-2 all-time record versus Toronto. The Wolves played two games at Toronto in split-trips last season, winning 7-5 in October and then falling to the Blues 4-3 in January.

About the Varsity Blues

Toronto played a pair of home games last weekend, shutting out the RMC Paladins 5-0 on Friday night before being downed 4-1 by the Carleton Ravens on Saturday. The Varsity Blues are currently tied for seventh place in the West Division with an OUA record of 4-7-2.

Toronto has a well-balanced scoring attack with forwards Christian Finch, Patrick Marsh, Mathew Campagna and Connor Cleverly leading the way. Defencemen Charlie Connell, Dylan Heide and Max Flanagan are the Blues top rearguards. Netminders Michael Nishi and Brett Willows have split time in the Toronto goal, but Nishi has posted the better numbers so far this season.
