The Thunderwolves continued to roll in the preseason as they pick up their third win in a row after a hard fought 3-2 OT win against the Wisconsin Badgers.

Lakehead opened up the scoring two minutes in when Geoff Dempster blocked a clearing attempt by Wisconsin netminder Jared Moe and rifled it into the empty net.

The Badgers would not answer back until late in the first period when Cruz Lucius would redirect a Tyson Jugnauth shot past Lakehead's Max Wright to even the score heading to the break.

The second period would feature multiple scoring opportunities for both teams and Lakehead's netminder Max Wright making some big saves to keep the score knotted at one after two periods.

The third would see Lakehead regain the lead when freshmen Josh Van Unen would blast a shot past the Badger's Kyle McClellan to put the wolves up 2-1.

The Wolve's Dylan Massie late in the third would get tied up along the boards and go down to the ice and need to be attended to by the trainers and helped off the ice and did not return to the game.

After play resumed the Badgers would send the game to OT when Carson Bantle would snap a high shot past Max Wright.

In OT the Wolves would be sent to the Power Play when Badgers Carson Bantle would be sat down for two minutes for high sticking. On that power play Kyle Auger would send a long shot just wide of the net and a hard charging Olivier Pouliot would bang the puck into the open net as it ricocheted off the boards back out in front of the net to end the the game in favour of the Thunderwolves.
