Lakehead Thunderwolves stung by the Concordia Stingers in front of 3604 fans.

Lakehead fell one win shy of a berth at the University Cup in Charlottetown, PEI next week.

Concordia swarmed the Thunderwolves in the first period and did not let up for the entire game. Christian Cicigoi who was named to the OUA West Rookie All Star team stood tall as he stopped 41 of 44 shots he faced

Concordia would break the ice in the 2nd period 3 minutes in as Charles Antone Giguere would take advantage of a Thunderwolves turnover and roofed a shot past Cicigoi.

Concordia's Tyler Hylland would increase the lead later in the period beating Cicigoi on the glove side.

The Stingers would add to their lead when Julien Anctil would pick up a loose puck and slide it past Cicigoi.

The Stingers would clinche the Bronze medal game late in the 3rd when Nicholas Girouard would score an empty net goal to make the final 4-0 and send Concordia to the National Championships.
