The Thunderwolves were swept by the Guelph Gryphons after falling 3-2.
The Guelph Gryphons came out of the gate quickly when Chase Lammi would rifle a shot that would beat Carson Cherapak to open the scoring only a minute into the game. That would be the only scoring in the period but the play in the period was very chippy which had carried over from the night before and it carried on throughout the game.
The Gryphons would increase the lead in the second period when Anthony Tabak would beat Cherapak and make it 2-0. The Wolves would answer back a minute and eight seconds later when Nicholas De Grazia would rifle a shot over the glove of Olivier Ciarlo to cut the Gryphons lead to 2-1.
In the third with fog starting to develope \on the ice the Wolves would even the score when Olivier Pouliot would wrist a beauty of a shot home which sent the 2098 fans in attendance into a frenzy. But the Gryphons would answer back a little over two minutes later when Nolan Forster would let a shot go through the light fog that had developed and past Cherapak to put the Gryphons back on top 3-2. That would end up being the final score.
