The beautiful city of Nipigon will make local sports history this fall as it hosts the inaugural Canadian Tire Cup, featuring two games between the Lakehead Thunderwolves and the York Lions. The games will be held at the Nipigon Community Centre on Friday September 19th at 7:00pm and on Saturday September 20 at 12:00pm.
This event marks the first time U SPORTS and Ontario university Athletics (OUA) hockey will be played in the community - bringing high-level University calibre hockey to fans in the region.This event is made possible through the generous support of proud local businesses including Canadian Tire and the supporting sponsors such as Ducky's Diner, Thunder Bay Broom and Chemicals and Epic Adventures, who have stepped up to support the Canadian Tire Cup.

"This series is a great example of regional outreach that strengthens our presence in Northwestern Ontario and provides a meaningful experience for both our student-athletes and the people of Nipigon. Tickets: $25 Weekend Pass (includes both games) - $20 Individual Game
