Lakehead wins a tightly contested game in overtime over Windsor 2-1
Windsor's Keegan McMullen would get the host Lancers on the board wristing a shot past Lakehead's Carson Cherepak for the early 1-0 lead. That would be all the scoring until the 3rd period when Lakehead's Wil Murphy would blast a point shot past Windsor's Max Donoso to tie the game at 1-1.
The game would need overtime to declare a winner and Lakehead's hot hand Olivier Pouliot would make sure his team went home with a weekend sweep as he would dance in and snap a shot past Donoso to give the Wolves the hard fought 2-1 win and a weekend road trip sweep.
The Wolves(17pts) sit 1 point behind the Laurier Golden Hawks(18pts) for top spot in the OUA Western Conference. Lakehead heads into an off weekend next weekend before hitting the road back to Southern Ontario for games against the TMU Bold on Friday November 21 @ 6:15 and Saturday Nov 22 against the West leading Laurier Golden Hawks @ 7pm.
