The Lakehead Sports Wall of Fame was conceived to honour all who have made outstanding contributions to Lakehead University Athletics; whether as athletes, builders, or as members of a Lakehead varsity team. As part of the annual John Zanatta Alumni Homecoming Games and Lakeheads 40th Anniversary Weekend, the new Wall of Fame will be rededicated in a ceremony at its new location in the student lounge of the new Hangar athletics facility this Saturday, Oct. 1st. beginning at 11:00 am.

The new Wall of Fame ceremony will serve as a rededication to the spirit of those special Lakehead athletes and builders. The ceremony will also honour this years Wall of Fame Inductees; a group of notable Lakehead alumni whose past athletic exploits or contributions will be forever proudly on display.

The Wall is a reflection of a new and dynamic era of growth at Lakehead Athletics; new programs like our successful mens hockey team, new facilities like the state-of-the-art Hangar, and a renewed dedication and enthusiasm for the spirit of athletics at Lakehead University among our student-athletes, staff, and alumni.

The Wall of Fame is also symbolic of the strong and continuing partnership between Lakehead Athletics and the Lakehead Alumni Association. This partnership has been essential in helping to promote the growth and development of Lakehead Athletics.

The Lakehead Wall of Fame serves as a tribute to Lakeheads growing and storied athletic history, and as a bridge between Lakehead athletes and staff of the past and those proudly representing Lakehead now.
