Lakehead wins 4-1 over York
The Wolves got behind early in the first when Bryan McAndrews point shot was tipped through the five hole by Keeton Oakley.
The Wolves would get the equalizer on a 5 on 3 powerplay on a beauty tic tac goal play finished off by Nicholas DeGrazia who was wide open on the right side of the net and roofed a wrist shot home.
The Thunderwolves would strike early in the second off the stick of Keighan Gerrie to take there first lead of the game. Josh Van Unen would add to the lead 3:30 later on the powerplay as he would put a shot on net and it would trickle in for the 3-1 lead. The Wolves would geta couple of great chances but could not get the puck past Smith.
York would get get a couple of scoring chance late in the period but would not score.
The Wolves would think they scored midway through the third but it would be waived off due to the puck being redirected via a kicking motion.
Lakehead would hold on for the 4-1 triumph over the York Lions
