Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey and Head Coach Pete Belliveau are very happy to announce the commitment of forward Matt Dyck for the 2006-07 season. Dyck played hockey last season for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the British Columbia Junior A League where he tied for the league goal scoring lead with 50 regular season tallies. The Kelowna native also added 35 assists to come fourth overall in league scoring. The skillful forward also added 6 goals and 8 assists in this years playoffs.
Coach Belliveau said Dyck will be an impact player for the Thunderwolves. Matt has a cannon of a shot and he really forechecks with authority. We are very happy to have Matt join the Wolves as his commitment adds a potent sniper to our line-up for the upcoming season.
Dyck, who will be enrolling in General Arts at Lakehead this year, said he is ready to begin this new phase of his life and hockey career. I am very excited about becoming a member of the Lakehead Thunderwolves and Im really looking forward to student life at Lakehead. I cant wait for this season to begin.
