Kris Bragnalo, #28 is the newest member of the Thunderwolves. The third year Concurrent Education student is a Thunder Bay native. Kris was a member of the Thunder Bay Flyers Junior Team, as well as playing on the Thunder Bay Bantam and Midget Rep teams. Kris has not played hockey for three years, but made an immediate impact against Waterloo last weekend, scoring a goal and an assist in his first two games with Lakehead.

MA: Why did you choose to attend LU?
Bragnalo: I chose LU because it was in my home town and because of the Concurrent Education program.

MA: What is the biggest challenge about being a student-athlete?
Bragnalo: Well having just started I can't really answer that but, I will assume, for sure the school work and the lack of money the athletes have because they are unable to work due to the hectic schedule.

MA: What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
Bragnalo: My strengths are that I am a very hard working two-way player, and weaknesses are my size and my speed.

MA: What do you like about being a Thunderwolves hockey player?
Bragnalo: The guys on the team, are some of the best I have every played with both on and off the ice.

MA: What was your greatest hockey achievement?
Bragnalo: Being a member of the first Thunder Bay team to win the Ontario Bantam championships, and following that up the next year placing second at the Air Canada Cup.

MA: What is your ambition in life?
Bragnalo: To be very successful as a teacher and try to coach at a reasonably high level

MA: What are your hobbies outside hockey?
Bragnalo: Working out, work and hanging out with the Boys.

MA: How do you feel about joining the team more than halfway through the season? Has it been easy to fit in with the team?
Bragnalo: Well it is tough joining any team halfway through but the guys have been unreal and have made me feel very comfortable and welcome.

MA: What can Twolves fans expect from you as a member of the Thunderwolves?
Bragnalo: They can expect me to give 110% every game and to hopefully bring a little spark when needed.

Coach's Comments:
"Kris will bring tenacity to our program. Since I first saw him at his first workout with us I saw that he could provide us with skills and grit, even though he hasn't played competitive hockey in three years. He has great speed and passing skills...he will finish his checks and get under the skin of opposing players...a true Thunder Bay hockey player!"
