Thunderwolves forward Mike MacDonald has decided to leave Lakehead and relocate to Sudbury in a move precipitated by his girlfriends desire to move back to her home town.
MacDonald informed Lakehead Director of Athletics Tom Warden of his plans in a meeting yesterday. I wish Mike the best of luck and I appreciate everything he contributed to our program last year, Warden said.
MacDonald spent the final year and a half of his OHL career with the Sudbury Wolves.
The Thunder Bay native scored 5 goals and added 12 assists for Lakehead last season as a freshman.
