The No. 4 Ottawa Gee Gees are newcomers to the Queen's Cup this season and recorded a 17-4-3 OUA regular season record and a 20-8-3 overall record. The Gee Gees qualified for the Queen's Cup by defeating defending CIS and Queen's Cup Champions UQTR two games to one in a hard fought OUA Far East Finals. Ottawa was third in the OUA in goals for with 111 and tied for seventh in goals against with 76. Ottawa will play the winner of the No. 7 Western vs. No. 10 Toronto Tournament Entry Game on Saturday at 7:35 p.m. EST.
Head Coach David Leger said his team is looking forward to this year's Queen's Cup. "The University of Ottawa Gee Gees are very proud to represent the OUA Far East at the 2004 Queen's Cup. The victory over UQTR was hard fought and emotional. The Gees Gees are not yet certain about the opponent that they will face in London but know that either U of Toronto or Western will present a great challenge to the team. The Gee Gees are looking forward to the experience of participating in this prestigious event."

Ottawa is led by OUA East First Team All-Stars Chris Boucher and Jean-Luc Martin. Team and scoring leader Rob Rideout is a constant threat and Ottawa features three OUA East All Rookie selections in Jamie Smith, Michael Nicholetti, and Jonathan Robert. The Gee Gees have two standout goaltenders in Mathieu Blanchard and Jordan Watt.
