Richard Molenaar Commits to Wolves

Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey and Head Coach Pete Belliveau are very pleased to announce the commitment of forward Richard Molenaar for the 2006-07 sesason. Molenaar is a power forward from Augustana College of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. Last season the North Delta, B.C. native potted 19 goals and 19 assists in 35 overall games for Augustana.

Coach Belliveau said Moenaar will add competitive grit and skill to the Wolves roster this year. Richard is a strong forechecker who competes very hard on each shift. He will be a positive addition to our penalty kill unit and is very good on face-offs. He is a great skater who possesses a very good shot.

The big rangy forward said he is excited to join the Wolves as they make the run for the Queens and University Cups. Im very excited to come to Lakehead to further my education and my hockey career. I was really impressed by the success of the team this season and I am really looking forward to joining a winning program and I think its a new and exciting opportunity for me.

Molenaar will be enrolling in Kinesiology at Lakehead this fall.
