Richards Wins Second Molson's Cup Three Stars Award

Lakehead Captain Jeff Richards is this years winner of the Molsons Cup Three Star Award Trophy for the second time in his illustrious Lakehead career. Richards is the first two-time winner of the award, as he also claimed the Molsons Cup in 2002-03; his freshman season.

Richards tops the standings with 21 points, followed by Chris Whitley with 18 points and Tobias Whelan with 15 points.

Molsons Cup Three Star Award points were awarded during each Lakehead home game during this season. Five points were awarded for a first star, three for second star, and two for third star.

Richards will be presented the trophy by a representative of Molsons Canada in a special ceremony before this Wednesdays first playoff home game against York.
