The Lakehead Thunderwolves mens hockey team and Head Coach Don McKee are very proud to announce the commitment of Kalvin Sagert to the Wolves for the 2008-09 season.

Sagert played five seasons of major junior hockey in the WHL; for the Kamloops Blazers, the Lethbridge Hurricanes, and the Prince George Cougars. Sagert was noted for his excellent defensive play in the WHL.

Lakehead Head Coach Don McKee said Sagert should be a big addition to the Wolves blue line. Kalvin Sagert has five years experience in the WHL. He brings great size and talent to the Wolves blue line. He brings a balance of offensive and defensive finesse which will hopefully make our defense one of the best in the country.

Sagert said he is ready to play. Im excited to go to a top end school as well as play for one of the best hockey programs in the CIS.
