Lakehead Thunderwolves men's hockey captain Joel Scherban was honoured by the City of Thunder Bay when he was given a Citizen of Exceptional Achievement Award during a ceremony in Monday's City Council meeting.
Scherban was given the award for being named an OUA All Star, OUA MVP, and winning the Joseph E. Sullivan Award as the top player in CIS hockey. This is the second time Scherban has won this prestigious award as he was also honoured in May of 2004.
