Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey and Head Coach Pete Belliveau are proud to announce that forward Shandor Alphonso has committed to the Thunderwolves for the 2004-05 season.

The 5 11 Orangeville, Ontario native played three seasons for the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL and last season for the Milton Icehawks of the Ontario Hockey Association Junior A League. Alphonso is a fast and hard-charging forward who loves to get in the thick of the action.

Coach Belliveau said Alphonso should be a strong addition to the squad. We are very happy to add another high energy and high intensity player to our team. Shandor is very mature and also a great leader in the dressing room.

Alphonso said he cant wait to begin studying and playing university hockey at Lakehead. I'm really excited about coming up to Lakehead. I hear Thunder Bay is a real hockey town and I'm looking forward to being back in that type of atmosphere. I understand Lakehead has a well respected Business program and I'm very excited to start that. The whole thing is going to be a great experience and I'm looking forward to a great year on the ice and in the class room.
