Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey is very happy to announce that all seven games of the TBayTel Varsity Cup hockey tournament will be video webcast live in partnership with News-cast.com of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The TBayTel Varsity Cup will feature the host Thunderwolves (OUA), the Calgary Dinos (Canada West), the St. FX X-Men (AUS), and the Lake Superior State Lakers of the CCHA (NCAA Div. I).

Lakehead Athletics Director Tom Warden said this initiative is a welcome addition to the tournament. I think this is awesome as it allows fans outside Thunder Bay and parents of the players an opportunity to watch the excellent hockey played at the TBayTel Varsity Cup.

News-cast.com is a pioneer in the webcasting of live CIS sports. President Doug Sutherland said his company is a strong supporter of CIS hockey. We've always felt that CIS hockey is some of the most exciting and competitive hockey you can see anywhere. We're very pleased to join with Lakehead University to bring the TBayTel Varsity Cup to hockey fans across Canada and the United States.

The round robin tournament will run Dec. 28th to the 31st and all games will be webcast on a pay-per-view basis. A one game view will cost CDN$ 7.95 while a Deluxe Seven Game Tournament Pass will cost $26.95. Ordering information will be available at http://www.news-cast.com/events/index.html on Friday, Dec. 16th.
