Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey team are pleased to announce that Garick Gray has committed to the program.

The 61, 190-pound forward fromSalmon Arm, British Columbiaplayed four years of Junior A hockey, his first two with the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL beginning with the 2011-12 campaign, followed by oneseason with the Fargo Force of the USHL in 2013-14.

Gray returned to the MJHL in 2014-15 where he had his most productive year, tallying 55 points in 70 games with the Portage Terriers and capped off his Junior career by winning the Royal Bank Cup last May.

Wolves Head Coach Bill McDonald likes what Gray brings to the table. After watching him play and talking to his previous coaches, I think Garick will be a good addition and I'm happy to have him join our program, McDonald said. He has size, skating ability and a knack for scoring goals. He also doesn't mind getting into the dirty areas on the ice.

Gray is enthusiastic about making the move to Lakehead. Im excited and honored to announce that I will be attending Lakehead and playing for the Thunderwolves this fall, said Garick. He went on to add, I feel like Im ready to take the next step in my career and hope to play a major role in the future success of the team. I've heard nothing but great things about the hockey program, the university and the community, and Im looking forward to being a part of it all.
