Well that was a weekend to remember! Last weekend's series against the No. 6 York Lions was maybe the best back-to-back games Lakehead has played in their first three years as the Thunderwolves. Except for a short time frame in the first period of the second game, we managed to control the flow of the play and dominated both ends of the rink. The Lions are, without question, a far superior team than proved to be this past weekend. All our four lines and our defensive pairings came to the rink with their 'A' games.

Joel Scherban, Jeff Richards, and Chris Shaffer were at the best we have seen them all year. I thought Steve Rawski emerged as a powerhouse at the point. He is now fully recovered from his shoulder surgery and has gained a ton of muscle in the gym since camp. He will be a crucial defensive asset to our club down the stretch.

I think the guys have now begun to gel as a team. At the beginning of the season we were just a bunch of talented individuals finding their way out on the ice and trying to find our roles within the team. We have now come together and started to move as a unit, which is always more effective in hockey
