The Lakehead University Thunderwolves men’s hockey team regrets to announce that it has had to cancel the first two non-conference games of the season.

Due to a delay in a capital improvement project at Fort William Gardens (on the ice plant), the team has been told by City Officials that the Fort William Gardens is unavailable for September 20th & 21st when the Thunderwolves were slated to host the Laurentian Voyageurs.

Lakehead University Director of Athletics Tom Warden said, “Our apologies to the community, our season-ticket holders and our corporate sponsors for having to delay the start of our season.  We appreciate your support and understanding regarding this unfortunate situation with our venue.”

The Lakehead Thunderwolves have been told that the repairs will be completed in time for its series versus the Guelph Gryphons on September 27th and 28th.
