The summer sessions of the Thunderwolves Hockey Schools have again been a phenomenal success with 600 girls and boys taking part in the various schools in Thunder Bay and Kenora. Those 600 attendees took up 800 spots as some of the kids attended more than one camp and almost all of the camps were sold out.

School Director and Lakehead Head Coach Pete Belliveau said the fifth season growth of Thunderwolves Hockey Schools shows that the schools have found the right mixture of hockey skills, study skills, and fun for camp attendees. We are very happy with the response we've had in terms of numbers and the enthusiasm of the kids. We (coaches and Twolves players) enjoy teaching skills improvement and high performance/conditioning skills to all players from the greater Thunder Bay area and Northwestern Ontario. This year weve even had some kids come up from Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are trying to instill passion into these young players so they will play hard and study hard; so later on perhaps they may don the Thunderwolves jersey.

There will be special four-day camps at Christmas in Thunder Bay and kids can register online at www.thunderwolveshockey.com beginning in late September. In related Lakehead Hockey School news; Lakehead Hockey Operations Manager John Payetta said there are plans to expand to Fort Frances next year.
