The Lakehead University Thunderwolves hockey team will begin training camp this Tuesday, September 2nd at the Port Arthur Arena to kick off the 14th season for a Wolves team that is rich in experience. With 21 players returning from last years squad and the addition of some highly regarded recruits, expectations for the 2014-15 season are high.
Head Coach Bill McDonald feels that this years camp will be highly competitive. The next couple of weeks will have a big impact on the make-up of the team, he said. The new guys we recruited will certainly improve our depth, so were going to see some competition on the ice for sure.
The team will skate from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily for the first week and the sessions will be open to the general public, so fans are welcome to come out and watch.
