Members of the Thunderwolves were hard at work helping to raise money for the annual Mother's Day Cystic Fybrosis Telethon. Peter Cava, Mike Wehrstedt, Mugsy, and Dene Poulin were on hand Saturday at Mark's Work Warehouse helping out with the"Hooked on Fun" event to raise money for CF.
During the telethon broadcast,Twolves Promotions and EventsManager John Payettadrew two lucky tickets for a set of autographed Twolves hockey cards and an autographed team jersey. Don Talarico was the lucky winner of the hockey cards set while Bruce Kaus won the jersey.
On Saturday April 29, some of the Thunderwolves were at the Centennial squareQuality Mart autographing the Twolves hockey cards. Joel Scherban, Jounni Kuokkanen, Murray Magill, and Coach Pete Belliveau were on hand to meet and chat with Lakehead fans.
Scherban will be a celebrity judge at a boxing event at the Slovak Legion on June1st.
