The No. 5 Lakehead Thunderwolves welcome the Waterloo Warriors to Thunder Bay this weekend for a two game OUA Far West Division series. Lakehead comes into the series with a 11-3 conference record and 16-7-2 overall. Waterloo is 0-13-1 in conference play and 1-15-2 overall. Lakehead is six points behind first place Western in their division, while Waterloo is in last place, 10 points behind third place Windsor.

Lakehead Head Coach Pete Belliveau said his team is looking forward to the Warrior's challenge.
"We will facing a team that would love to beat us at home, you can be assured they will giving 100% and force us to bring our A game. They played us tough in Waterloo and we do need the points to keep up with Western in our race for 1st place in the Far West Division."

Waterloo Head Coach Dave Cressman says his team is looking forward to the series against the Thunderwolves.
"Obviously, our record indicates that we've really struggled this year but we're continuing to try to improve and be solid contenders in any game that we play. Coach Belliveau will have his team prepared to face us no matter what our record is. You only get better by playing the best and Lakehead's ranking in the top 10 in the nation is no fluke. We had two good games against Lakehead early in the year in Waterloo and we're looking forward to the same in Thunder Bay."

Series History:
This will be the 7th and 8th meetings between the two teams. Although having a tough season, Waterloo plays very tough against Lakehead. Lakehead was 5-0-1 in the six previous games, outscoring Waterloo 27-18.
