The Lakehead Thunderwolves mens hockey team and Head Coach Don McKee are very proud to announce the commitment of Bryan Wilson to the Wolves for the 2008-09 season.

Wilson played four seasons on the blueline for the Gatineau Olympiques, the Drummondville Voltigeurs, and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the QMJHL. The Hearst, Ontario native is known for his excellent defensive play and pinpoint passing.

Lakehead Head Coach Don McKee said Wilson is a welcome addition to the Wolves. Bryan Wilson brings the experience of a four-year career in the QMJHL to the Lakehead blueline. This northern boy has an offensive upside, averaging thirty points per season in his last two years. Bryan is a left shot who loves to play on the right side which helps us to build the depth and talent we need to compete with the best in the country.

Wilson said he is ready for the challenge of playing with the Thunderwolves and attending university at Lakehead. Im very excited to be heading to Lakehead; both for the challenge to succeed at the university-level studies and the opportunity to play for the Thunderwolves, one of the nations top ranked teams. You can be sure that Ill be arriving at camp in top shape and ready to help the Thunderwolves throughout the season and at the national championship. As far as school goes, Ill have to manage my time wisely attending classes and doing homework or assignments. For the hockey part, I know I have to show up in top shape and perform on and off the ice to earn my playing time. I will need show coach McKee that I can play at this level with older, stronger and wiser players.
