The Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team struggled to score for the second night in a row, and the result was a 3-0 loss at Windsor Saturday night. Lancers goaltender Jim Watt came up big for the second night in a row recording the shutout.

Windsor took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Jonathan Sciacca at 6:58 and Kyle Tront at 14:32. Shots on goal were 8 apiece in the period.

In the second period, the Lancers padded their lead at 10:44 when Brett Vandehogen beat Thunderwolves netminder Alex Dupuis to make the score 3-0 Windsor. It was all the scoring the Lancers would need, as Watt held off Lakehead the rest of the way. Shots on goal for the period were 17-15 in favor of Windsor.

The Wolves applied more pressure in the third period, outshooting the Lancers 19-6, but were held scoreless once again. Watt made 42 saves in total for the game.

Lakehead will look to rebound next weekend when they return home for a series with the Guelph Gryphons.
