Windsor tops Lakehead to win OUA West crown.

Lakehead got on the board first late in the 1st period when Griffen fox carried the puck out from behind the Windsor net and passed out to Spencer Blackwell who unleashed a one timer past Nathan Torchia to the delight of 3491 fans.

Pouliot had a great chance earlier in the period on a partial break away but was stopped by Torchia.

The second period would see the Windsor Lancers would take the lead when they exploded for 3 goals in a span of 2:14. The first goal Mason Kohn take a pass from Anthony Stefano and rip it past Max Wright. 1:30 later Brady Pataki would take a feed from Anthony Stefano and wrist it past Wright. Very quickly after the second goal Windsor would strike again when Sean Olson would slip a shot past Wright to make it 3-1.

The Wolves would respond 10 minutes later when Griffen Fox would rip a shot past Torchia to cut the lead to 3-2.

The 3rd period would see action at both ends of the ice with both teams getting some really good chances but both goalies would make some big stops and also the defense would come up big in helping out the the goalies.

Windsor would end up putting the game out of reach with :59 seconds to go when Barrett Dachyshyn would find the back of the empty net to make the final 4-2.

Lakehead still has one opportunity left to make the University Cup tournament in Charlottetown, PEI.

As they will host the loser of the East final (either UQTR or Concordia) in the Bronze Medal game on Saturday March 11. Time still to be determined.
