Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey program are pleased to announce that Kelin Ainsworth has committed to the program.
The Thunder Bay native played for Lake Superior State of the NCAA last season before deciding to transfer back home to Lakehead.
A 510, 180 pound forward, Ainsworth also played two seasons of Junior hockey with Traverse City of the NAHL, where he was third in team scoring during the 2010-11 season.
Ainsworth, who will be enrolling in Business Administration, is looking forward to wearing the Lakehead jersey. Im excited - its going to be fun playing in front of the big crowds at the Fort William Gardens, Kelin said. I used to go to the Wolves games when I was a kid, and I loved watching them play. Now I get to be one of them.
