Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey team are pleased to announce that E.J. Faust has committed to the program.

The 63, 210 pound forward played for the Woodstock Slammers of the Maritime Junior Hockey League the last two seasons where he was a teammate of Jake Wright, who has already committed to Lakehead last month.

Faust scored 31 goals and added 24 assists for 55 points during his final campaign in Woodstock.

The Minneapolis, Minnesota native played his first two years of junior hockey with the Aurora Tigers of the OJHL and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL.

Thunderwolves Head Coach Bill McDonald is glad to have a commitment from Faust. Im very happy to have E.J. join the program, McDonald said. During the recruiting process, he was highly recommended by his previous coach (Justin Bowers) because of his size, as well as his skating and shooting ability. And I think he has the drive to get even better.

E.J. is eager to begin the next phase of his life at Lakehead. As much as I appreciated my time with the Woodstock organization, Im honored and excited to be attending Lakehead University this fall, and Im looking forward to playing for a great coach and program, Faust said.
