The Lakehead Thunderwolves mens hockey team lost 6-0 to the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs in an exhibition game Sunday afternoon at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) Arena in Duluth, Minnesota.

The loss put the Wolves overall record at 2-3 heading into regular season play next weekend. The Thunderwolves are now 0-3 against UMD all time; all three losses coming in pre-season games played in Duluth.

Lakehead was outshot in the game 42-20. In a game that saw the NCAA implementing more new rules this season; the game was a continual parade to the penalty box with the Wolves drawing 17 penalties to UMDs 10. Lakehead was 0-8 on the powerplay while UMD was 1-9.
