The Lakehead Thunderwolves ran into at hot goaltender Saturday night, as Yorks Travis Rolheiser turned aside all 41 shot he faced in the Lions 3-0 victory. The game was played at Lakeheads satellite campus in Orillia, although it was technically a home game for York.

Chris Jones opened the scoring for York at 5:52 of the first period, beating Wolves goalie Alex Dupuis on the powerplay. Lakehead came out strong offensively, firing 22 shots on the York goal in the period.

After a scoreless second period, the Lions extended their lead to 2-0 early in the third stanza when Adam Stuart netted one at the 3:15 mark. Yorks Chad Hohmann added an empty net goal with a minute remaining to ice the game for the Lions.

Lakehead returns home next weekend for a two-game series with the Laurier Golden Hawks at the Fort William Gardens.
