Hockey fans looking to get into the spirit of the season can look no further than Thursday evening when the Lakehead mens hockey team hosts the CIBC Christmas Skate with the Thunderwolves, 6:00-7:00 p.m., at the Fort William Gardens. The event gives Thunderwolves followers of all ages the chance to lace up their skates and share the ice with their favourite Lakehead hockey players and team mascot, Wolfie.
The skate is free, but skaters are kindly requested to bring a non-perishable food item to the Gardens that will be donated to the Dew Drop Inn food bank. Also open during the event will be the Wolves Den merchandise booth where Christmas shoppers can stock up on all the latest Thunderwolves Hockey gear for that special fan.
