The Lakehead Thunderwolves kept their No. 8 ranking in this week's Top 10 poll. Alberta remained at No. 1 and Moncton moved up to No. 2 based upon its defeat of Acadia in the AUS Finals while the Axemen fell to No. 6. Western moved up to No. 3 while UQTR also rose to No. 4. Saskatchewan dropped to No. 5 while Manitoba moved up to No. 7. McGill and Calgary round out the Top 10 at No. 9 and 10.

The CIS National Championships in Alberta will feature host and Canada West Champions Alberta, AUS Champions Moncton, Western and UQTR from the OUA, Canada West runners-up Saskatchewan, and Canada West rotating wild card team Manitoba.
