Lakehead Thunderwolves Hockey is very happy to announce that all 2006-07 home games will be video webcast live in partnership with News-cast.com of Fredericton, New Brunswick. This will be the second season that Lakehead Hockey home games will be videowebcast from the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay.
Thunderwolves Hockey Executive Director Jason Mallon said the home videowebcasts were a great success last year. Last year was a great start by promoting Lakehead hockey via home videowebcasting with News-cast.com. This is something we want to grow and develop in the future and we look forward to working with News-cast.com in bringing Thunderwolves hockey to fans across Canada and around the world.
News-cast.com is the Canadian pioneer in the video webcasting of live CIS sports and has broadcast many CIS events as well as conference and CIS national championships. New-cast.com President Doug Sutherland said his company is very happy to continue its partnership with Lakehead Hockey. Lakehead has one of the most innovative and exciting hockey programs in the country and has some of the most loyal and involved fans and alumni. We're looking forward to a terrific season and some great hockey.
Lakehead Hockey will webcast all non-conference, regular season, and playoff home games as well as all of the games of the annual TBayTel Varsity Cup Christmas holiday tournament. Fans will also be able to catch the Wolves as they host the AHLs Manitoba Moose on Sep. 29th and 30th.
All games will be video webcast on a pay-per-view basis with a one game view cost of CDN$ 7.95. A Seasons Pass for all Lakehead non-conference, tourney, and regular season games (21 or 22 games) is CDN$ 120.00; a savings of a minimum of$46.95
Viewers will need hi speed internet and Windows Media Player to watch the games.
This year will see Argus Sports Editor Alan Wickware return to do the play-by-play and Lakehead Sports Info Director Mike Aylward doing the colour commentary. Ordering information is available at: http://events.news-cast.com/events/LHU.
