The Thunderwolves would plenty of resilience in big win over the Waterloo Warriors in front of 2903 fans and on our annual Newmont Teddy Bear toss game.

Lakehead did not get out to a great start in the first period as Dan Walker, Brendan Bowie (on the powerplay) and Tate Popple would tally for the Warriors and chase starting goalie Max Wright from the net and Christian Cicigoi would take over in goal.

Lakehead's Kevin Stiles would find Greg Smith who redirect the pass upstairs past the Warriors Dan Murphy to get the Wolves on the board and get the teddy bears raininng down from the stands and onto the ice.

In the second period Tyler Jette would strike on the powerplay and Stephen Fox would tie the game up midway through the period.

Waterloo would not back down as they would strike twice on back to back powerplays with goals coming from Brendan Bowie (2nd of the night) and Simon Rose to give the Warriors a two goal lead.

Tyler Ho would get his first of the game off of a beautiful pass from Keighan Gerrie to pull the Wolves within one heading to the break.

The Wolves would roar out of the gate in the third when Olivier Pouliot would streak in and put one past Murphy a 1:19 into the frame to tie the game up at 5 a piece and send the crowd into a frenzy.

Tyler Ho would notch his second of the night burying a gorgeouis pass from Pouliot to put the Wolves up for good 6-5.

Tyler Jette would complete the scoring with an empty net goal to make the final 7-5 for your Thunderwolves.
